The Basic Man !!!
Antoine-Laurent de Lavoisier !!! THE FATHER OF MODERN CHEMISTRY !! The reason why we are actually studying chemical engineering in the first place !!! His achievements cannot be sidelined forever !! THE LAW OF CONSERVATION OF MASS , one of the most basic law in the working of the universe was postulated my this great man right in the 18th century !!! He helped reform the method of nomenclature of chemicals , recognized and named oxygen and hydrogen and what not !! MAY HIS LEGACY CONTINUE !!!

yeah....sure he is a great chemist..we got a good lot of chemists in your country too like Dr. Atul Kumar ...Kumar has won several awards for the design,synthesis and discovery of New Chemical Entities (NCEs) for various therapeutic areas associated with women reproductive health (osteoporosis) and metabolic diseases like diabetes & anti cancer.The discovery of anti-osteoporosis agent CDRI-99-373, this drug was also recognized as a "notable Science and technological achievement" by the Government of India Planning Commission in its ``Report of Steering Committee of Science and Technology for eleventh Five year plan (2007-2012). though his contribution to the chemistry is not as great as Lavoisier's...but his hand of contribution is worth noting .

I too agree that India have many good chemists.I also agree that Dr Atul Kumar has worth contributaion to be mention and admire the hard work of a dedicated Scientist from INDIA
